But Lord Brahmâ, Lord Shiva arriving there with the sages, 
Nârada and other godly personalities and their followers 
all together with their transcendental prayers 
pleased Him, the Blessing of All:

Heer Brahmâ, Shiva, wijz' en god
En Nârad' in één groot gedrang
Verschenen toen en loofden Hem
Die ieder schenkt wat hij verlangt. 

Understanding He was the Original Personality, 
offered he, with under His influence his fears dispelled, 
thereafter prayers to the child, 
falling down with folded hands, o son of Bharata, 
enraptured as he was by His beauty that illumined 
the place all around where He was born

Ten volle beseffend, van alle angst verlost,
Dat d' Opperheer lag daar, die met Zijn eigen gloed
't Geboortevertrek in een zee van licht herschiep,
Viel hij Hem met handen gevouwen blij ten voet.

S'rî Devakî said: 'Being the substance of God are You sometimes 
called imperceptible, the original, the Brahman, 
the light, the freedom above the modes, 
the changeless and the measure of goodness; 
You are the one undivided, void of material motives, 
who is directly that Lordship, Vishnu, the light of the Supersoul.

Devakî zei:
 Verborgen Oer-oorzaak, Alzijdige Gloed,
Steeds één, Absolute, die nooit iets verricht:
Degeen die de Veda aldus steeds beschrijft
Zijt Gij, Vishnu Zelf, Bron van 't Geestelijk Licht.

Because of Indra's constant showers was 
of the deep waters of Yamarâja's younger sister, 
the Yamunâ, the surface foaming of the forceful waves 
but the whirling, agitated, fierce stream gave way 
just like the ocean had before the Husband of Sîtâ [Lord Râma]

Terwijl onophoudelijk 't hemelwater viel
En storm de Yamunâ met bulderend gebonk
Deed golven en schuimen, bood plots de stroom een pad,
Zoals eens de zee aan Heer Râm' de ruimte schonk

The son of S'ûrasena reaching the cow-village of Nanda 
found all the cowherds there fast asleep and 
with them slumbering placed he his son on 
Yas'odâ's bed and picked he her daughter up 
to go back to his own residence.

Toen Vasudev' eind'lijk bij Nanda's huis aankwam
Trof hij alle koeherders slapend op hun rug.
Hij legde 'r het Kindje stil bij Yas'odâ neer
En ijlde vandaar met haar dochtertje terug. 

Hen zowel als de verhalenvertellers, 
de reciteerders en de zangers en allen die met 
hun scholing de kost verdienden het ruimste hart 
toedragend was, om zijn kind de beste vooruitzichten te bieden, 
die nobele ziel, Nanda, met de bedoeling Heer Vishnu 
te behagen van eerbetoon met wat ze ook maar 
konden gebruiken of zich konden wensen aan kleding, sierselen en koeien

In zijn grootmoedigheid gaf Nand'
Aan zangers, dansers, iedereen
Die 't van zijn kunsten hebben moest
Sieraden, kleren, koeien mee.

Zo eerde hij hen allemaal
Met velerlei gepast genot
Terwille van zijn eigen Zoon,
Tot vreugde van Heer Vishnu, God.
